Incident: KLM B737 at Amsterdam on Jan 23rd 2012, overheated brakes

A KLM Boeing 737-700, registration PH-BGI performing flight KL-1581 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Athens (Greece) with 137 people on board, was climbing out of of Amsterdam's runway 24 when the crew stopped the climb at 6000 feet reporting overheated brakes and decided to return to Amsterdam. While on final approach to Amsterdam's runway 27 the crew reported the brakes indication had ceased and a normal landing was to be expected. PH-CDE / CND605 is still holding over SPY, now 1:30 hrs after departure. It took off at 14:32. Maybe just burning fuel to get below max landing weight?

Mooie foto. Gear down en lage hoogte zorgt ervoor dat ze sneller op MLW zijn.
