Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

ESSA/ARN March 27 2008

G-kraft (http://www.g-kraft.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), a swedish aviation enthusiasts' group; the swedish Scramble thus, organised a spottersday at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. The plan was to meet at 7am and photograph at different spots in landing and take off, then at 13.45 there was a visit to the control tower. And so we did; as they switched runways several times we kind of saw all spots around Arlanda. I must say it was better than expected not only with the possibilities for photographing but also the movements; quite the whole day through there are planes coming in and out with rushhours between around 7-10am and 16-19pm. During our visit to the control tower we could have a look at the workingplace of ground/handling and we had the opportunity to stand a few minutes on the roofterras (some 30m up) for photographing!! What an awesome view from up there! 8) By now I have come to a kind of selection of my photos; 12 out of the 300 is not so bad I think as we spent some 11hours at the airport (from 7am till 18pm)!

http://WWW.FVPHOTO.NL/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; --- Check out my photos of this spotting season on my website!

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.

Nice pictures!
On the old site Gkraft had some spottingsguides for a few swedish airports but can't find them back on the new one. Maybe you have them?

Enjoyed the shots a lot: will be visiting ARN on 05jun08 and looking forward to it a lot, given the 'rare' airlines/aircraft there  :!:
