G-kraft (http://www.g-kraft.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), a swedish aviation enthusiasts' group; the swedish Scramble thus, organised a spottersday at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. The plan was to meet at 7am and photograph at different spots in landing and take off, then at 13.45 there was a visit to the control tower. And so we did; as they switched runways several times we kind of saw all spots around Arlanda. I must say it was better than expected not only with the possibilities for photographing but also the movements; quite the whole day through there are planes coming in and out with rushhours between around 7-10am and 16-19pm. During our visit to the control tower we could have a look at the workingplace of ground/handling and we had the opportunity to stand a few minutes on the roofterras (some 30m up) for photographing!! What an awesome view from up there! By now I have come to a kind of selection of my photos; 12 out of the 300 is not so bad I think as we spent some 11hours at the airport (from 7am till 18pm)!

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.

Enjoyed the shots a lot: will be visiting ARN on 05jun08 and looking forward to it a lot, given the 'rare' airlines/aircraft thereFlygvapnet_Viggen wrote: Hope you enjoyed...
