Hi Tally,
According FC 3rd SW F16CM should be 90-0826. They should still be at Charleroi since no ALTRV has been filed yet. Most logical routing will take them via Leuchars to the north/northwest but weatherwise you never know.

Cheers,

Might be related

On the 4th USAF F-16's were heard on SABCA Ops freq and used them as an inflight freq. They went south and I believe to join with BLUE.
That same flight later on was back and went into Spangdahlem. Their callsign was Retro.

Hi Joost,
According a message on FC Blue61 KC135 out of Mildenhall only collected F16V 005 out of Tanagra and dropped him off at Charleroi. It had a Retro callsign. The message also said the SW's hadn't moved.
What could have happened Blue61 had, besides 005, possible SP stragglers from a former deployment that went into Spangdahlem, but that's just my guess.

Cheers,

Listened back:

Ah, part of the puzzle i missed. I did heard a Retro call in on Ops 130.250, never realized it was the HAF F-16 as it was a US pilot by the sound of it. Thanks! He called 130.250 Sabca Ops at 14:55 hours.

With regard to those SW's ; They were heard talking to SOF "2 ship, your boys from Shaw", I missed their callsigns, but reportedly Hightest01-02
They switched to SOF 344.825 at 12:36

Just listened back some more recordings, Hightest01-02 was on 291.000 around 12:32 thru 12:38 and requested FL400 for supersonic run for both.

Now I must admit, I never heard them after this anymore on any atc freq. It is an assumption they went into SP now I come to think of it.
But they were definately airborne.

EDIT: Found them back on 291.000 -> 341.225. At around 13:02 they switched to unknown freq (so far, still looking) Last transmission from them I heard was at 13:19 hours. I am not sure if they recovered to SP or Charleroi. Apologies for any confusion.

Joost,

Seems the SW's both did an FCF according your story and returned to Charleroi. They just talked to SP SOF. The F16V was indeed flown by a US pilot, to complete the puzzle.

Hi Ranger,

Any word on the ALTRV and if the vipers have departed (ETD)?
