Last Saturday the previous Commander of the RNLAF, Sander 'Snitzel' Schnitger passed away at young age and after a short illness. This Friday, 3rd July, a memorial and remembrance will be held at former Soesterberg AB, also known as the birthplace of military aviation in The Netherlands ('bakermat').
To celebrate the life of their former commander, the RNLAF is holding a short ceremony and a limited access farewell at and near the MLM.
There will be a missing man formation and possibly some additional fly-pasts as well. Others might have more details about flight plans and a/c participating.
A TRA has been put up around Soesterberg between 10-12h local time.
