MCAS Miramar 2018 MIL

Post by DJMikey »

On the 7th of March at MCAS Miramar we saw a several Canadian F-18s. We counted at least 12 of them. We read off a few serials from our pictures, but not all due the heathaze. Can anyone else help us out with a full list?

Besides that, the platform was packed. We saw several F18s, C130s and C-12s. Maybe someone else was there that day too and can help us out with his log?

Thanks!

Blue Camo F-18

Post by David Moore »

Hi All,

On 08/03/2018 whilst driving on the freeway we were overflown by 3 VMFAT-101 F-18's landing at Miramar. One was a two seater in blue camouflage (hastily grabbed photo from car here https://flic.kr/p/248tRg6 ) coded SH-03

Can anyone tell me the Bu No, please? There is footage on youtube of it landing & taking off at Van Nuys on 17/03/2108 but it is not possible to read the number

Thanks for any help!

Just another question about Miramar.
The first week from March there were 4 Ospreys from HMX-1.
Is there anybody who can help me with the BuNo’s?

Thanks in advance

Are you sure 165222 for WT11 is correct?
Can you confirm 164875 as NH412 please, it used to be in depot for some years. There's a second NH412 too - 164715.
Same goes for NH411 - also two of them. NH411/164701 l/n2.18, changed to WS411 mid3.18 and NH411/164873 which should be in depot.
NH406 = 164739
SH245 = 164028
SH221 = 163447

The blue one is 160945. I'm afraid they have two in black c/s, 160531 & 160937.

One more question from 08/03/20118. Whilst driving by Miramar I was overflown by F/A-18C SH-143 of VMFAT-101. There is a photo of it online on the USS Abraham Lincoln on 18/03/2018 but frustratingly the Buno can't be read. Can anyone tell me the number of this one, please?

Thank very much

Fifteen F-16's from 310th FS were on TDY here end of April/early May.
Can anyone help with serials?
