Re: NTM 2017 at Landivisau Spottersdays
Good afternoon,
I am after a little information regarding previous Tiger Meet spotters days ahead of a possible trip to TM2017.
What time is access to the air base generally acheived and are they strict on time in etc? I am trying to gauge whether I can shorten the trip, thus time off work, by travelling on the ferry overnight and getting into Roscoff at 08:00 on the Spotters Day itself. With disembarkation and travel (not considering delays of course) the best I think we could hope for arrival at the base would be 09:30 local. Is this practical?
The alternative and sensible way is to arrive the day before I know, it's just that depending on times etc. will vary who can and can't make the trip thus also reducing the trip cost by sharing ferry costs etc.......
Any advice (serious or humorous, but constructive of course ) would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers folks,
Kelvin

Hi there,
Think it's too early to tell how this year will be.
Previous editions showed different approaches, since the country ( base ) is the host not the NTM.
Regards, Rene

No. Chances are that you will be too late.A380_sully wrote:What time is access to the air base generally acheived and are they strict on time in etc? Cheers Stefan, that was my gut feeling too, so we are going to bite the bullet on the earlier arrival.
Is the Meet ever "over subscribed"? And if we applied what is the percentage chance of successfully getting tickets in your experiences?
I want to avoid booking ferry and not getting any allocation.
Many thanks,
All your inputs are welcomed.

It's easy;A380_sully wrote:Is the Meet ever "over subscribed"? And if we applied what is the percentage chance of successfully getting tickets in your experiences?

- apply in time;
- unless `there´s a price on your head´ your will be allowed in;
- book ferry after succesfully applying.

Stefan
Re: NTM 2017 at Landivisau Spottersdays 8/14 June
Hi Guys,
Does anybody have some personal experience with spotting opportunities off base / around the base, especially during the NTM?
I'd like to go there for one of the official spotter days, and might add a few days depending on off base possibilities.

hello i was many times around this airbase without problems, French Gendarmerie are friendly but if you are at 20-30 meters next to the fences, during the last NTM no problems and the two runways are good for the spottingmo76 wrote:Hi Guys,

Layout for spotters day has been released, although if you try and find it from the NTM webpage, it doesn't exist, which is strange.
