Re: Chania (Souda Bay) LGSA 2013 MIL
Interesting, from the NL no NAF80 series flight has been noticed on departure in the last couple of days so perhaps returning flight from MeS? Thanks for the heads-up!joost wrote:Showing T-264, flight includes F-16'sBennie wrote:October 8th visitor: NAF48 from Eindhoven.

NAF81 & 82 are with NAF48 this moment, boom freq (as always) 261.300 , couple of days later you can expect the 2 F-16's coming back from MesHurricane wrote:Interesting, from the NL no NAF80 series flight has been noticed on departure in the last couple of days so perhaps returning flight from MeS? Aha, check! NAF81/82 is indeed to MeS and NAF83/84 used from MeS back to NL. It seems then that the flight left from EIN, not from VKL.joost wrote:NAF81 & 82 are with NAF48 this moment, boom freq (as always) 261.300 , couple of days later you can expect the 2 F-16's coming back from Mes

noted that day between 09.00 and 15.00 hrs (there was also another usual midday wave of based F-16s taking place but I dropped that in favour of spending some time at the US Navy side due to the interesting helicopter activity. Nightflying of based F-16s was also taking place that evening.)

Re: Chania (Souda Bay) LGSA 2013 MIL
Visited Chanya two weeks 2007. Were was much night flying, flying very low over my hotel. Most of the flying were F-16.
Remember were is also a naval base close. The MH-60 maybee comes from visiting US naval ships.
Were has also been a frigate based in Soudha Bay during some time during sommer.
