National Cold War Exhibition Temporary Closure
21 October 2010
The National Cold War Exhibition has been temporarily closed at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford.
As part of a routine maintenance inspection, a fault has been identified which has necessitated closure to visitors for the near future.
It is hoped to rectify this as soon as possible and information will be regularly posted on the museum website.
Alex Medhurst, General Manager says:
“The decision to temporarily close the National Cold War Exhibition has been made because of concerns over the lighting.
The problem which was identified through a routine inspection, affects the lighting supports in the building and regrettably we have had to close it temporarily.
The museum’s other hangar displays, with some 50 aircraft on show are still available to visitors.
Our half term activities and November Conservation Centre Open Week will run as normal and admission is free of charge.”
