This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

That are some pretty neat pictures you made there. Was this during the open days in September?

Re: hornet solo display swiss air force in payerne
Hi Viper,
Nice serie of shots. I see a couple of photos that I would be most pleased with if I shot them myself. I even dare to say that some look better BECAUSE of the bad weather. My only advise would be to reset your camera to a little over exposure, as the grey background (very light) in these photos causes your camera to underexpose. If you shoot in RAW it's also possible to (partially) adjust this afterwards, so shooting it right is always better than adjusting it afterwards.
My two favorites are the "drop shot", because it clearly shows vertical movement by the vortex from the wing tips, and the "pull up" shot because of the crisp overwing view with fantastic vortex and nice colorful roundels, burners and brownish exhaust marks on top of both engines. By the way, I do see shadows of the vertical tails on both horizontal stabilizers, so you did have some sunshine during the display....
Well done,
Iwan
