Antalya AYT 8-9-2010 12-9-2010
Again our annual pilgrimage to AYT.... This year great weather contrarary to last years floodings..
Thanks to internal contacts we managed to gain ramp access for 5 days. This year the operation is changed completely at AYT. In the past one runway for departure , and one for arrivals. This year landings and take offs depend on the terminal the airline is handled. Of course exceptions are usual..So good planning is a requirement in order not to miss a lot. Luckily all info can be found on the AYT Airport internet site.
Herewith the first batch..... In 5 days I have shot 280 different aircraft which were new for me!!!... So that is impressive I would say.
Here we go
YR-TIB at T1
YR-BIB a nice wetlease Blue Air/Travel Service landing on 18L for T2
In the category suprises and yummy yummy... YK-AVB of Syrianair.. operating some ad hoc charters due to the end of ramadan.., sistership AVA was seen too. ON some days even 3 flights... Shot while taxiing to 18L as it departs from T2
Nordwind B767-300 VQ-BPT... early departure 0730...from 36C T1
Both UT Air's 757's are based at AYT.. early morning departure from 18C T2
Wladivostock Avia (or Braambosavia for intimi) A330 VQ-BEU landing on 36C T2
Aeroflot A330 VQ-BEL taxiing out at 1755 to rwy 18L
Aeroflot Skyteam A330 VQ-BCQ at the same time the following day
Tatarstan B737-300 VQ-BAP sitting pretty on the main ramp. Many russian carriers arrive early in the morning and remain daystopping and depart late afternoon or early evening.
Donavia uses T1.. photgraphed after the push/pull operation
Air Volga.... that resulted in some stress... we did not pay attention as we thought it was a bizjet coming in.....VP-BMR was arrested by camera anyhow thanks to lovely Mehtap.....
Another T1 departure after the push.. Lviv Airlines YK42
End of ramadan charter from Jeddah.. Saudia B757 TC-OGT. The next day an A300 was expected but not captured on pixels as delayed ïnshallah
Ágain a nice TU154 of Donavia... instead of the 737-400... I prefer this bird... Vacating RWY 18L
Orenair TU154-B2!!!! Oh just loved the start up of this bird....whoeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Orenair can be seen a lot... They have based 4 TU154's , and many 737's at AYT during the summer season.. This year also a TU204 with remains of the ATU Air colour scheme. Arriving in the last rays of sun on 18L
Saratov Avia can be seen daily with their YK42's
Another highlight. Royal Falcon A319 JY-JRE on a end of ramadan charter.
More of such traffic by Royal Wings A319 operating a charter for Wings of Lebanon from Beyrut.. I would have preferred their own 737-200..
And another ramadan charter...Jordan Aviation B737-300 JY-JAD..
Guys .. it is time for a wine... More uploads during the weekend...

While we were hiding for the sun and heat underneath a parked Thomson 757, this nasty little fellow was looking at us from it's selected spot on top of the l/h nosegear landing light! As we're no Ultimate Survival men we did not attempt to eat it
