Does anyone knows if the Sahara/Deux Ponts at Evreux can be photographed from outside the field without too much risk?
Weet iemand of de Sahara/Deux Ponts op Evreux van buiten het veld af enigzins (gevaarloos) op de foto te zetten is?

Technically, this should be possible as it is close by a through road (doorgaande weg) in a corner of the airbase. However, next to the Deux-Ponts is the main gate of the airbase . I had to wait for the 2007 Open House... it was no problem then!

Thanks, have to think twice now. Looking at Google Earth, it looks as if sneaky "schuin van voren" might be possible with a long lens. Might be wrong.

Do you happen to have Google Earth coordinates on those? I might be passing by Evreux shortly so perhaps I can try that hit and run too....

I didn't go there this weekend, but I went to the Sahara/Deux Ponts at Fontenay Tresigny "near" Paris. It can be best photographed in the afternoon and early evening. Was there at 20.00 and the light was fine. It is a small civil airfield, and nobody bothers/cares when you start taking pics. BW Roger
