To Elmar: Could it be that the KC-10A will refuel the Stratotankers? Or is, in this case, the Extender really for logistic support only? The Hog "647" which you noted inside hangar at Spang is A-10C 82-0647, formerly assigned to the 103rd Fighter Squadron, 111th Fighter Wing (Pennsylvania Air National Guard), Willow Grove. KC-10 didn't do any AR for this coronet. Just repositioning to Lajes.
As mentioned, tankersupport were 4 KC-135s that left Mildenhall as Clean81-82 and 91-92.
