How to Spot in BKK Int.

Post by Lord_Manhammer »

Hello,

this morning we left BKK to TPE.
We were very disappointed that you cant take
Pictures out of the Terminal in BKK.
All over black dots on the Windows or steal.
The Obversation deck were closed one year ago.

So were is an good spot to take some shots???
Outside / inside?
Max 400mm.
Did anybody ever stand direct in the App. to 03R in front of the fence?
Problems with the Police?

Thanks for your anwser

The new BKK airport is not spotter friendly.

You should not really have any problem with the police,so long as there are no protests ongoing.

Airside offers better possibilities than landside.

There is a 3 star hotel in between the to landing runways, witch seems to be OK, Spotters can stand on te roof. You also can rent a car , and find a place in landing, police is no problem.

Dear Jeans,

I've been there last December and created the following topic about my experience at BKK airport. Perhaps you wanna take a look.

http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=48140" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Photo were taken with about 150-300mm depending of the aircraft type.
If you can send me a PM you have any questions.

Best regards and enjoy

As an addition, the following was also noted upon arrival this morning:
VQ-BBU B757-2Q8 Nordwind
VQ-BBI B767-328 S7 Sibir
A6-ETA B777-3FX Etihad
UR-DNM B767-322 Dniproavia
VP-BUE B767-3CB Uzbekistan Airways
VT-JBD B737-85R Jet Airways

The earlier mentioned (and very sexy) Kingfisher B727 was also noted on the tarmac.

Cheers,

Kees

The Kingfisher B727 and the VIP Evergreen BBJ were also still (or again?) in. Spotting was done airside and during daylight (that's a big difference at this airport compared to nighttime, trust me!).

Cheers,
