REQ: CASA mil I.D's

Post by erik_kamphuis »

At ILA'2002 at Berlin I saw C.295 with registration EC-295, this should be the prototype c/n P-001.
Now I read somewhere (airlinerslist, europrops?) this aircraft went into Spanish AF service, anyone can help me on this one? What serial did/will it get?
Since april'08 there is a new C.295 with regi EC-295, but that is c/n S-042 for the Portugese AF.

Another interesting thing I discovered:
At Gilze-Rijen air show june 20th 1992 the were 2 CN.235's at the static; one in Spanish AF camo, and a white one from CASA. This last one was CN.235QC EC-764 with c/n 42. It entered mil service around 1998 with the US Army as 96-6049 (427th SOS). So an interesting civil plane many of us saw (for the c/n spotters at least)!
