Someone for the 8 visible parked phantoms, 3 parallel to the runway, 2 with nose to the runway and 3 with back to the runway?
A question about a frequency
I have 138.550 as a radar frequentie, but if I am correct, it was used by the Swiss as a Ops/ground frequency. I'm not sure, it was in French.

Re: Wittmundhafen (ETNT) - 2009 MIL
Log XX 27th August 14:00 - 19:00LT
It looked like i was the only one who didnt know the Swiss had left already... After dealing with this dissapointment the f4's made up for it. (as they always do!)
A4N:
Only flying N437FS (one mission), They tried with the N431FS but after 10 minutes warming up the mission was aborted and the pilot got out again.
Parked outside: N262WL, N434FS, N431FS. In Hanger N432FS. Grey one not visible.
Visitor: UH-1H(?) not readable from my position.
Depature:something that looked like a plane: D-EBSC.. if it cant retract its wheels, well what can i say
F4F:
QRA depatured twice (last time 18:00) 38+37 (brand new paintjob) and 38+26
Others:
38+74 doing some touch and go's
37+22, 37+26, 38+63 and 37+81.
All in all not a bad afternoon, nice to see that ther are airforces that can keep planes where they belong.. in the air!

Re: Wittmundhafen (ETNT) - 2009 MIL
Isn't this SOP to make sure if there is a an abort on plane 1, #2 can immediately take off and the contractual agreements are met on time? Probably part of their SLA.They tried with the N431FS but after 10 minutes warming up the mission was aborted and the pilot got out again

N431FS Aborted and they pushed it back into the hanger. An hour later the N437FS took off.Isn't this SOP to make sure if there is a an abort on plane 1, #2 can immediately take off and the contractual agreements are met on time? Probably part of their SLA
Depending on the stability of your service you can have a backup plane and pilot ready at all time. Preflight aborts happen all the time. i think its only SOP in case of QRA or War... en even then... and according to the above there is no SLA with a fine penalty in effect...

Re: Wittmundhafen (ETNT) - 2009 MIL
What's the reason for all this Turkish Activity, will this be a deployment and if so, how many planes, how long etc. ??Otto wrote:01/10

Week 43 at Geilenkirchen and Wittmund
Hello,
I'm planning to do some spotting at Geilenkirchen and/or Wittmund in week 43
Does anybody know what the best day is to do this and does anybody know of there will be some frequent flying in this period.
I also would like to know if there are some special visitors exp. in week 43.
Thanks,
Nielis
Ps. how are the regulations according the use of airband scanners

Re: Wittmundhafen (ETNT) - 2009 MIL
JUst forget about these NOTAMS, almost the same all year long.
As far as i know the F4's fly 3 waves a day and the Embow participants can fly at any time, but probably no more then twice a day.
