Spangdahlem has some vipers deployed.

According to a friend of mine, Neuburg has slow ops at the moment.

Thanks to those which they are offers of give an aid in order to teach to us the better place to us to Ramstein. :x
At the end they have not been made to see. However or, we have made the same one!

Beautifulst the spotter point to SP in order to make the arrivals.
Sin that at the crucial moment has exited the German police and has loaded to us on their van.
Optimal Nancy-Ochey spotter point for the arrivals.

Because of the more social tone of this thread it has been moved to this area. A full log is off course most welcome in spotting Germany forum.

We were ourselves… we were going to see where to put us the day after.
Then the day after an hour it has made us visits the German police  and it has made us to cancel all the made photographies to SP (but they can themselves be recovered fortunately  ) and they have made us to go up in their van in order to carry to us from the cars :?

What's so secret about A-10's and F-16's that they make you delete your pics taken at a viewing point which doesn't reveal any infrastucture? The difference in policy between RS and SP continues to amaze me..

Last week some German terrorists admitted in court that they wanted to kill as many American people (soldiers) as possible in Germany. So you can't say that there is no thread. On the other hand, I have never been to that spot, but can you be seen from inside? At Ramstein security forces can see you from inside which might give them a safe feeling. On the other hand, Ramstein is already used to spotters (how long did that take?), it is a matter of time when Spang also recognize spotters as no thread. But in the past, the old spot, near the car scrap yard, never gave any problems to my knowledge. Security forces shall have their reasons to send you away....but for us it is only guessing for those reasons.

Sure enough, I realize the threat is there all right. And maybe it is a matter of getting used to. But sending spotters away won't mitigate the threat. It won't make it worse either ;-) A spotter-watch programme might help, but this might require some sort of organized spottinggroup to formalize contacts between the community and the base-authorities. Maybe a nice incentive for the local spotters?

On the other hand there is quite a lot of information on the Internet, SP is not obscured on Google Earth etc etc. This dualism in policy is also a wee-bit strange..

We were in the point of the arrivals, where the fencing makes angle.
Probably someone has marked our presence… but seeing 4 persons that they walk calmly near the fencing with the zaino and a chair in order to be based… poù not to pass itself for of the terrorists.
Mhà… however or the photos we have recovered to them with the program of the sandisk.
Sin because it was a beautiful day and c' it was much movement.
It will be for an other time… always that they do not arrest to us…

however also in Italy it succeeds this… to Aviano but… even if is not an American base… 8)

Also to Buchel we were controlled from minimum 4 at sight military to beyond the fencing.
We in order not to agravare the situation have introduced ourselves and they after two have said telephone us that we could photograph the airplane but not within to the fencing.
To Nancy in France… they have seen to us but nobody has not come to send to us goes… and to think to the French I saw them stricter of the Germans… :|

I guess Spangdahlem has a somewhat higher security level than Ramstein. Fighter jets, are being seen by many, as "agressive" . Spangdahlem has lots of them...
Also Spangdahlem is located in such way, they don't see you very well...
It also host nukes, which doesn't make it more easy either.

I can understand the way they patrol. However i haven't had any difficulties when going over there. Not even when a F-16 was standing outside a shelter, located close to the fence. People were servicing that jet. Had one encounter with a securityofficer, he was asking us if we were alright. And after we told him we were here to spot planes, he wished us a nice day!
