Re: REQ: c/n of the Swiss Air EC 635 P2i
Hi Guys,
Occasionally, at Donauworth, can be seen EC1/635s that seem to relate to the c/ns or test reggies of Swiss AF machines, apart from the first four a/c which I know were operated from there. Is this possible? For example, D-HECX in late July 2007, could this be c/n 693/T358, or another a/c using D-HECX? Furthermore, could any of the Swiss a/c from T355 onwards be seen at Donauworth, the question here is at what stage of production are they moved to Alpnach, in boxes? or as reasonably complete cabs?
Thanks!!

Re: REQ: c/n of the Swiss Air EC 635 P2i
Media coverage says they are really put together at Alpnach, so I *presume* they will be shipped to Alpnach as "bouwpakket" in boxes. And very annoying is that those test registrations are used and used again all the time, so it's difficult to find out which c/n you have seen. We saw D-HECU at Donauworth for example, which was also used by T-355, but it turned out that the one we saw was another one (with a higher c/n by the way, but T-355 used it after we saw D-HECU....).

Thanks Patrick, that's pretty much as expected. One error in my request, I meant July 2008 for the DHECX but I'll scratch it from my list. I don't suppose they'd put the things together then disassemble them for sending (by Alpenpost??) to Switzerland.

Re: REQ: c/n of the Swiss Air EC 635 P2i
I checked that registration, and before it was used for T-635 (c/n 0693) it was used for c/n 0668. I had a visit at Eurocopter in march 2008, and then 0668 was on the production line, while 0693 was missing (a gap in an almost complete series of airframes on the production line).
So my guess is in July you did see 0668, which should have been ready to fly by then indeed, while 0693 was at Alpnach at that time.

Both airframes were mentioned in the Helispot in the Scramble magazine:

EC635P2+ c/n 0693 D-HECX Eurocopter Deutschland. Destined for Swiss Air Force as ‘T-358’. Assembled by RUAG.

Re: REQ: c/n of the Swiss Air EC 635 P2i
The Swiss federal procurement, technology and real estate competence centre, armasuisse, handed over the last of 20 EC635 helicopters to the Swiss Air Force. The delivery of EC635 P2+ T-370 took place on December 17 at the Alpnach facility of RUAG Aerospace where the Eurocopter-licensed final assembly line for the Swiss EC635s is based. The Swiss Light Transport and Training Helicopter (LTSH) programme is thus completed on time and on quality.
