Australian E-7 Wedgetail to Germany
Yesterday, after talks with the German bundeskanzler Scholz (in the run-up to the NATO Summit), the Australian prime minister, Anthony Albanese, has announced the deployment of an E-7 Wedgetail to Germany, for six months from October.
(although no location was mentioned, Geilenkirchen seems the most logical base to me )

Logical or not, it will be based at Ramstein for the duration of the deployment, according to an Australian newspaper.

These australian newspaper is actually the only source, that will tell about ETAR as base. All other websites just annonce based in germany.

Es freut mich besonders, dass Australien ab diesem Herbst auch einen Beitrag zur Luftraumüberwachung im östlichen Bündnisgebiet leisten und dazu ein AWACS-Flugzeug in Deutschland, genauer gesagt in Ramstein, stationieren will.
