At the Aviastar plant in Ulyanovsk, when testing the fuselage of the Il-76, one person died and five were injured
The press service of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) told Kommersant
that an incident occurred at the Aviastar plant in Ulyanovsk
while testing the fuselage section of an aircraft in production,
as a result of which one person died and several were injured.
The victims are receiving medical care.
“They understand the details.
But at one of the assembly stages,
the fuselage is checked for tightness by pumping excess pressure into the compartments.
During these tests, a tragic incident occurred, ”added the press service of the KLA.
RIA Novosti was informed by the emergency services
that the incident occurred during the testing of the fuselage section of the Il-76 aircraft,
a transport aircraft weighing 72 tons.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, one person died and five were injured.
The Aviastar plant produces Il-76MD-90A transport aircraft (the second generation of Il-76),
Il-78M-90A tankers and passenger and cargo aircraft of the Tu-204 family
