Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Thanks, awesome photos - very interesting! I had not known that the CFS had ceased to exist and became part of the Carabinieri!! I was already thinking that they look awfully similar to CFS AB412s!!
Where did you see all the S208Ms? I have never seen them with these nose markings but then again, I have not been in Italy for 10 years now!
Last time I saw the S208Ms in any great numbers was at the CVV at Guidonia, great to see them still going strong!

Re: Nord est Italy Spring Summer tour......
The clue is in the title of the second S.208 shot: LIDH or ThieneWhere did you see all the S208Ms?
A nice sight indeed! No photos of the gliders (I presume Italian AF ones) in the background?
I presume they are here for some kind of summercamp, not regularly based?
Cheers,

Since 2015 Guidonia changed from CVV to 60 Stormo, but still has the same role as before, flying S.208M and gliders as before.Erik_7Xi wrote:Thanks, awesome photos - very interesting! On june the first, 4x S208M came in to Thiene to celebrate 100 years of the flight to Tokio.
The gliders in the background are civilians.
