Mi8 at kindercamping Jan Klaassen, Braampt, NL

Post by frank kramer »

thanks to my son-in-law googling away a bit, I came across some pictures of a preserved Mi8 in a phantasy-scheme. It is preserved at Kindercamping Jan Klaassen Dromenland in Braampt (near Doetinchem), the Netherlands. Anyone info on its identity? The link below probably could be smaller, but hey, I'm no expert...

On their FB page, this camping had a few images of the helo in its original colours.
Looking at https://scontent-ams3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hp ... o.jpg?dl=1 it looks like a former East German AF SAR Mi8.

Mmmmm, have been there about 15yrs ago, back when the children were still nice...............
Therefore can't recall the exact lay-out of the park anymnore, so is the Mi8 visible visible from the outside ?

Good to realize that it is at the small "kindercamping" at the Braamweg, not the bigger Jan Klaassen theme-park at the Gildeweg. Even though both locations are only a few hundred meters apart...
Before 94+21, it was DDR's "910". It came from the collection of Piet Smedts (who else?)
