Good report! You did well using slow shutterspeeds and still keep the subjects sharp, but the blades blurred.
These Kazakh guys, they didn't bring any Mi.8's, did they? Maybe next time?

yes it is a public event but many pictures were taken from a different spot used for media journalists. However is quite easy to reach it with a 15 -20 minutes walk from parking car. The site is about 30 minutes by car from Cortina D'ampezzo.

Normally it take place in mid-july, and it is the last act of the year to test the trainings of all the Alpine groups.

It is probably the main exercise involving many countries with a lot of alpinists.

The helicopter section is about 3-4 AB205, 2 A129 and 1 NH90. This year NH90 did not show up unfortunately.

I add some pics from my side, I was with Claudio.

Despite the perfect meteo condition in the morning when the exercise started there were the clouds.... mountain's meteo...
