Hi
Does anyone know if the flying display will be the same on both days? And will we be facing the sun or will it be in our backs?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Nope, it will be like the previous pre-'luchtmachtdagen' spotterdays. This is much closer to the parallel runway than during the Tigermeet. However, we will widen up the area a bit compared to the events in 2007 and 2009.

So, there will be no 'tribune' like in 2009?Maurice wrote:Nope, it will be like the previous pre-'luchtmachtdagen' spotterdays. This is much closer to the parallel runway than during the Tigermeet. However, we will widen up the area a bit compared to the events in 2007 and 2009.
Widen up the area is of course fine which allows the people to distribute more evenly along the parallel runway.

Who said so? It will be like the events in 2007 and 2009, so including the press grand stand On top of that, we will widen up the area as much as possible/allowed.Paveway wrote:So, there will be no 'tribune' like in 2009?Maurice wrote:Nope, it will be like the previous pre-'luchtmachtdagen' spotterdays. Will it be possible during the spottersday to take pictures of the aircraft that have already arrived on tuesday and wednesday and that are on static?

That depends on where they have been parked on the static display, IF they are meant for the static. If they are flying display aircraft, you will not be able to picture them on their parking position.
During the spottersday we will be positioned along a part of the static display line. So during the day you can expect a reduced visibility on the runway due to parked static display a/c in front of you

As long as they park the A-7's in front I don't mind

Re: Luchtmachtdagen/Airforcedays 14/15 June 2013 Volkel
I would like to hear from people who have been to Volkel before how difficult it is to photograph the flying display when the static aircraft are in front of the public. Is suspect the visibility is greatly reduced. Especially if the big aircraft like C-130, E-3 and C-17 are also parked in front of the public.
Is suppose it's not easy to photograph the static aircraft either if there are loads of people standing at the fences to watch the flying display.
I hope someone can tell me a bit about the conditions at Volkel.

Re: Luchtmachtdagen/Airforcedays 14/15 June 2013 Volkel
question:
Does anybody know whether the Estonian Albatros is still in the flying display or is withdrawn to only the static??
On the official site the Albatros is moved to 'static show', but when you click on the name for further information you can read 'vliegshow' in the header.......?!?!?!
