Gunsan open house was a complete disaster. Press was only allowed in after the public so it was almost impossible to get shots of the aircraft in the static display without people in the background. Further the airshow was near the seawall, some 5 km from the static display. And from this place you have backlight all day so also impossible to get some decent shots. This was my first and last visit to this open house. It is not worth spending the money to go back again in the future.

I can't disagree with that.

However, the base was worth spending time at prior to the show(and as the show was not worth a long trip to go to,it is just as well I did.)

My colleauge was stopped from taking photos from behind thse static after the first four of five aircraft were photographed unoticed.

The static could have been arranged better with a little forethought.

We got till the WP F-16's before we were spotted. Later a pilot escorted us and we got all aircraft from behind the static.
