Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Looks great! Was this shot made at the Slopes? Any news on the current (or near future) situation?

Good pictures.
Caught the Sjoek with green engine covers tuesday, now he's back to old. Too bad they changed them, I preferred the green thingies

Hope to see some of your pics when you have been there. It is now the period for pics with autum colors. Only once a year you have these colors.
Grtz,
Edward.
The shot of the Apache was made at the fence near the Slopes. The current situation is that the small "old" spotterhill near the left slope is no more. It has been removed. On the other hand a bit further on and about five meters away from the fence many "new small spotterhills" have been placed. For how long is uncertain as trucks of some construction company keep bringing sand. For the most right hand slope on the base these "new spotterhills" give good opportunity to take pics. To be more flexible I would suggest to bring a small stepladder. Especially when helicopters would practise on the lefthand slope. Mostly Apaches practise on this left slope and the pic as shown today was also taken there.Looks great! Was this shot made at the Slopes? Any news on the current (or near future) situation?

Thanks for pointing out, didn't noticed it last Tuesday. What's the reason for the different exhaust? reducing the amount of heat? dust protection? someone with more information?Sines wrote:Good pictures.

@DJ de Ridder: This is what it looks like at the moment (both pictures taken with 18 mm. standing on the first heap of sand nearest to the fence)
