Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

40 Years MLM Soesterberg
Hello all,
Tonight i was at 40 years anniversary of the MLM Soesterberg. They show the new plane in there collection. It is a former Fouga CM-170 Magister from the Belgium air force. The serial is MT 51, and that is strange, because when i read this site http://belmilac.wetpaint.com/page/Potez ... ter?t=anon there where only serials from: MT01 - MT25, MT26 - MT50. But it is there new beauty in there collection. Nice paint job, and in good condition, if you see that this beauty is 40 years old. i also hear that the Commando in chef of KLu have say yesterday that in 2013 the army museum from Delft will be located in Soesterberg. Hope you all like the photo's, the place where they show the plane was not that spotter friendly.

At the "static-line" in MLM the F-100 Sabre was gone. And the F-86 of Twenthe is now the gate keeper next to the static line. I hear that this Fouga will be show inside, but they didn't know, because they also get the old gate keeper of EHTW.
There was also a Yellow F-104 with 40 Years MLM theme on the tail.
The rest of the plane is yellow total, with paintings from children over it.

Thus far (as far as I know) only Dutch and Soesterberg based USAFE aircraft were displayed in the museum.
Does anyone know why a Belgian plane is being displayed now? Maybe because Dutch pilots were trained on the Magister, or did the museum change its course and will more foreign aircraft be bought?
Mazzels,
Rob

They have a MiG 21 too, for quite some while, didn't know these were operated by USAFE or the Dutch Armed Forces.Schffrs wrote:Thus far (as far as I know) only Dutch and Soesterberg based USAFE aircraft were displayed in the museum.
