Iron Maiden to The Netherlands

Post by phkza »

From ANP:
Does this mean we can expect that very colourful Boeing 757? I hope it'll come to AMS, but GRQ would also be an option I guess...

Assen - Groningen Airport Eelde is only some 20 kilometers or so, makes more sense than going to Amsterdam!

Depending on their schedule I think these guys would rather go and party in Amsterdam than in Assen or Groningen...

My guess would me AMS.

headbangen

Their first concert in the Netherlands (correct me if I'm wrong):

5 oktober 1980 as support act of Kiss
Groenoordhal, Leiden

Yes, I was present only 13 years old!

In april 1981 they were touring again (Killer world tour) with their own support act, while playing in the stadsgehoorzaal in Leiden!

But...back to topic...

Allright, but I have see them only playing with Paul Di'Anno, performing the lead vocals... 8)

didn't know that but I know that as a young boy he was a plane-spotter and he's still a regular IAT visitor as well as a vivid supporter for the Vulcan Trust...
So the fire probably is still burning a bit .....

He also presented the program "Flying Heavy Metal" on Discovery. He flew a 727 over the Everglades for example.
