Royal Air Force
Airbus A400M
ZM409 //DRDNT01 on scanner

I' m visiting family in SF, someone looks out the window and exclaims WHAT IS THAT?! At first I was thinking C-17, well, because you don't expect the RAF to be laying down a buzz job on Alcatraz at 200 AGL. They had the rear ramp door open, it must've been a photo hop. They did 3 circuits of Alcatraz and 2 bigger circuits of Angel Island, all between 200 and 300 feet in altitude. When it was time to leave, they climbed enough to clear the Golden Gate Bridge and departed south along the coast. Very impressive 10 minute air display.
