The F-104 performed 2 test flights in Grosseto yesterday, and I was able to get there for the spotter day organized by the base!

Some rumours about the G.91 flying today are circulating on Whatsapp, but no official confirmation yet. EDIT: turned out there were just taxi runs. It did not fly.

For those wanting to visit the Italian Air Force Museum in Vigna di Valle, I phoned them this morning, and they told me they will be closed on Thursday. To be sure they are closed, they suggested me to phone them again on Thursday morning in case something changes.

There is another museum, Piana delle Orme near Latina. It is not an aviation-specific museum, but it has few aircraft on display, including the wreck of a Curtiss P-40 which crash landed during the Allied landings in Anzio and Nettuno. Unfortunately, it is open from 9 AM to 2 PM only.

Re the museum at Piana della Orme, in late April their G-91 wasn't available, apparently at another location being restored for static display.
