Lufthansa is responding to this by using the large Boeing 747-400 on flights from Frankfurt to Mallorca.

The Jumbo, with space for 371 passengers, is scheduled every Sunday from 2 to 23 April on the flight that departs from Frankfurt around lunchtime (LH1158).

But it is one of the last opportunities for enthusiasts to fly a 747-400 in Europe.

A one-way ticket from Frankfurt to Mallorca in the 747-400 costs a minimum of 181 euros,
