24. MARCH 2022 AF1 to Brussel E4B?

Post by Andy182 »

Hello everyone!
On Thursday President Biden will arrive into BRU for a summit. Is there any knowledge or rumors where AF1 will stay (Park in BRU or other place?) and will E4B go to RMS/STR?
THANKS A LOT.

Last time the E-4B went to Mildenhall, so that may very well be an optio this time too

Thx. Biden will continue to Poland. Would the E4B stay in the U.K. or get closer (possibly RMS/STR)? Cheers.

Assume AF1 will remain parked at his disposal before continuing further down East.

I myself am thinking of going to Brussels tomorrow. Anyone sighted a VH-60 or VH-3 already? Also any expectations during the day are welcome.

For your information, AF1 etc are expected tomorrow evening around 9 pm(23rd), so if that's what you're after you can stay at home. VH60 will most likely be hangared all the time.

Is there a reason why they chose Mildenhall? I would say that Chièvres is the closest US military airport, or Ramstein?

They probably have their reasons for it. As I said, it went to Mildenhall the last time too. Mildenhall is also relatively close to Brussel, it may even be closer than Ramstein

Generic answer: of course there is a reason.
It apparently doesn't have to be the nearest field, it just needs to be 'near enough'. Chièvres has far less facilities than Mildenhall or Ramstein, and the Hall is only 20 NM further from Brussels than Ramstein. Must be the best option within the requirements.

I wonder if E-4B goes to RMS when AF1 goes to Poland on Thursday/Friday?

AF1 82-8000 is currently Southwest of Cork (Ireland).
