Re: ...vorig jaar. Russische Su-27 Flanker raket had "misfire", Britse RAF Boeing RC-135 was anders neergeschoten....
Better change that topic header. A misfire suggests that the missile was launched by accident or technical failure. Now it seems that the pilot fired on purpose and the missile failed in flight.

Re: AMC removing markings - thoughts and opinions
AMC is currently run by a commander who seems to steer his fleet away from its primary tasks (cargo and AAR) and convert the aircraft into missile launch platforms through the Rapid Dragon program. Also has some weird ideas around personal arms for each service member and encourages them to "ai...

Makes me think of the V1's in WW2. British fighters tried to knock them out of the sky by tipping the wings with their own wings. The Germans then installed ignition switches under the wingtips. Maybe the Reapers could be fitted with a kind of proximity device. V1's were on a one way trip...

Probably trying to scare it away by dumping fuel very nearby. If the intention was to bring it down, they could have just used guns or missiles.

That doesn't look bad at all, they even painted the refueling probe. How long will the AMX soldier on within the Italian Air Force?

Re: Jan 2023 US govt: Turkey can get 40 new F16s if it does not block Sweden/Finland NATO entrance...
Potato, potato, the effect is still the same: one country (or dictator) can block a membership. And indeed I understand the idea behind it, but in my opinion it would be better to have for example an 80% majority to decide. That way it is impossible for one guy like Erdogan to held the whole of NAT...

It's not a veto, NATO requires every single member to approve before a new member is admitted.
If you allow another country in the alliance it means you are prepared to go to war for it if the call comes, so I think that the requirement of an unanimous decision makes perfect sense.

FNF Rafale, not sure what you are trying to say here. Are you suggesting that the SeaKings are being flown by mercenary pilots?

Does anyone know where the (I suppose Ukrainian) pilots for these SeaKings have been trained?
