Were is heavy anger on the Swedish Flight History Association about a scrapped Viggen prototype 37-1 last year.

The Board of the association decided to scrap the prototype because of rosty condition without knowledge of the members. The airplane were placed on the Linköpings Museum in about 20 years.
They decided instead to keep "newer" serial airplanes becaues they were more "shiny". The museum have left the flight approach to a more familiar approach. Werefore were is no place for rosty planes?

Re: Viggen prototype scrapped
What a shame that this prototype Viggen was scrapped. Someone was not thinking properly. Scrapping a prototype is even worse than scrapping just a plane. Regards, Per

Re: Viggen prototype scrapped
Well, I know about one (no ex-) board-member of a museum that openly said a prototype from a type not unimportant for the collection could be scrapped because there was now also a production type of that aircraft in his collection.perrie wrote:Someone was not thinking properly.
