It seems that the A-29 Super Tucano is become a very popular combat aircraft...
A couple of hours ago, the Guatemalan Congress approved a loan, for US$170 million, for purchasing six Embraer AT-29 Super Tucano for the Guatemalan Air Force and four radars. The loan approval, considered of national urgency, is already taking heat from the opposition parties, who voted against it. However, the ruling party had a voting majority. As of now, there are several accusations of corruption against the Congress presidency and the congressmen who voted in favor.
PP and allies manage to get 110 votes and give way for purchasing military equipment and funding a road improvement project.
The first funding will be granted by brazilian and argentinean banks, for an amount of US$170 million, for purchasing six Super Tucano aircraft, a Central Command and Control System, logistics packages, spare parts, ground equipment, training and support. This project will be coordinated and executed by the Defense Ministry.

A small correction; it should be A-29A or A-29B. AT-29 is a designation not used for the EMBRAER Super Tucano.
