While in take off from Verona-Villafrance, I noticed two F-104's and a RF-84 preserved at this location: 45.384739,10.878573 (the Rf-84 is not in the picture on Google maps yet).
Would anyone know which two 104's these are?
Thanks a lot in advance!!
Marcel

Re: REW preserved aircraft at Villafranca
Hi,
I was at Verona-Villafranca airport at 24-aug-2011 and saw:
(MM6513) F-104G pres s/c 132 Gr, southside
(MM6579)/28 F-104G pres s/c 28 Gr, southside
MM6525/3-01/3-30 RF-104G std in front off shelter NE-side (serial not read)
1x F-104G badly burnt on dump north-side (= MM6567 ??)
27403/3-28 RF-84F pres near radar tower midfield (not read)
The dump and RF-84 are visible from street Via Dossobuono in Pantina. At the dump were some more F-104 parts. The 2 special coloured F-104s are visible by taking the dirtroad left from the main gate (Localita Caluri) and follow it to the fence.
The first 2 are a sort of monument and should be your Starfighters.
The RF-84 is only one there.
gr,
Erik
