News + Req: Mi-8/17 at Eindhoven
Since October (?) 2 former Czech AF Mi-17's are at Eindhoven airport in a hangar in brown (primer?). C/N's mentioned 108M04 and 108M13. Both are/were active with an American organisation. See info from Scramble DB for c/n 108M13 (other c/n history almost the same).

108M13 Mi-17 N8066L LLH Services LLC rgd 12apr05
December 19th arrived 2 former Pakistani Mi-8MTV's:
From EWAS:
Summary of info on the helo's: both Hips are Mi-8MTV-1's (which are in essence Mi-17's, as the Mi-17 is the export name for the Mi-8M-family. The serials in question are 58505 and 58506, both ex stored Kabul, both ex PAAC (Pakistan Army Aviation Command). The Augustus '11 issue of Air Forces Monthly discloses that these two Hips, together with three others, were acquired from the PAAC by the Afghan Air Force for stripping of spare parts. They were all seen stored at Kabul Airport on June 11, 2011. It was assumed that they were all destined for relocation to - and scrapping at - the south side of Kabul Airport. This seems to have been avoided now, at least for the two that arrived at Eindhoven.
December 23rd more choppers are expected, see:
viewtopic.php?f=32&t=80598
Anyone a clue what the futureplans are for those choppers? Are the Pakistani for spare parts for the former Czech?? Are they for Baarlo?
Some (at least one) former Czech Mi-8's are now in service with the Afghan AF (c/n 108M09), maybe this ones rebuild for Afghan AF?
Are choppers visible from outside through hangarwindows and what time are they expected to stay?
Any info is welcome.
Erik

Important. Camera displays are not 100% reliable. At home I noticed that c/n 94081 is not correct. It should be 94094!
Sorry.
