Re: LOG 11-05-2011
EASY 940D: trouble this afternoon with a very agressive passenger, but wasn't able to post it at the time:
16.11 LT: Airbus A319 from Easy Jet (G-EZBA) talking with ATCC Amsterdam on the discrete emergency frequency 120.8750 MHz.
Having trouble with a passenger who is reacting very strangly. He tried to open one of the cabin doors. They have him under control now and the cockpit is secured. They want to land at Schiphol Airport (EHAM). ATCC got them cleared for a landing at runway 27.
17.50 LT: Some more info just published on a Dutch news site:
The plane was on it's way from Poland to the United Kingdom when the British passenger attacked the cabincrew. They had to hide in the cockpit and because they were flying in Dutch airspace, they asked for an immeddiate landing at Schiphol Airport Amsterdam. After the plane landed, the police arrested the man and they are investigating why he attacked the crew. The passengers are taken care of at the airport. Nobody was injured, exept for the British passenger.
