When programming my UBC3500 I have the option for auto or AM/FM.
My question is: Is it needed to adjust the band to AM/FM or will auto works as well?

Re: UBC3500 Frequenties auto or AM/FM
Dennis,
When selecting Auto, your UBC3500 will automaticlly switch to AM when finding comms on an aviation freq. So you can either select AM or Auto when inserting aviation frequencies.

That depence on the standard settings of your scanner. Some scanners (at least my UBC780XLT's) are putting programmed frequencies between 138 and 144 MHz in FM. And some higher frequencies in the milairband (200 - 400 MHz) in WFM. So the be absolutely safe, program AM or FM by hand.
