MiG-21 pres in Hurghada Egypt

Hi,

I was in january 2001 in Hurghada were I saw the easily visible gate guard, MiG-21 with serial 8047 in Arabic (the 3rd number is a 3 in the mirror, which is number 4).
Scramble airfieldguide gives serial 8017 for this one, is it panited fake, or a typo by Scramble, as all pictures/info on the net give serial 8047 for this one. A "1" in Arabic is also written as a 1 .

And is the exact type a MiG-21PF?

Anyone a clue?

Hi,

The airfield guide has a typo, it should be 8047 (see also http://www.scramble.nl/egbase.htm)
