Accident: TRIP AT72 at Altamira on Feb 21st 2011, gear collapse on landing

A TRIP Linhas Aereas Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72, registration PR-TTI performing flight T4-5204 from Belem,PA to Altamira,PA (Brazil) with 46 passengers,
landed at Altamira when the left hand main gear collapsed at about 19:30L (22:30Z).
The airplane veered left off the runway and came to a stop completely on soft ground.
One passenger received minor injuries. The airplane sustained substantial damage including damage to the left hand propeller, left hand engine and left hand wing.
Aviation sources in Altamira claim, the airplane may have hit a hole in the runway.
Pictorial evidence shows the left hand main gear collapsed and confirmed the damage.
Infraero, Brazil's Airport operator, reported the airplane sustained just tyre damage (clearly contradicted by the pictorial evidence).
One passenger not wearing seat belts received minor injuries.
The airline reported one the gear struts suffered a technical problem during roll out.
After the airplane stopped the airplane was evacuated safely. One passenger received abrasions due to the breakage of an acrylic window and received medical assistance.
