Airline executives refuse to notify crew about bomb threat

Post by Thermal »

According to this article a LAN Argentina (affiliate of LAN Airlines of Chile) flight diverted after a bomb threat by telephone.

Ok very unfortunate but thise things happen.

But hear this...... the bomb threat was received by telephone 6 minutes before departure. But despite that, the crew was NOT notified and the plane departed.

The crew was notified in flight, 1.5 hours (!!!) after the threat was received by LAN. Apparently the airline executives did not want notify the crew. Only after a court order did the the airline notify the crew through ACARS who then diverted.

Typical example of airline executives who value revenue more then the safety of passengers. :help:
