Incident: China Airlines B744 at Seattle on Nov 22nd 2010, overran runway

A China Airlines Boeing 747-400, registration B-18717 performing freight flight CI-5391 from New York JFK,NY to Seattle,WA (USA),

overran the runway by about 100 feet/30 meters while landing on Seattle's runway 34L (length 2591 meters/8500 feet)
in low visibility (RVR more than 6000 feet), light snowfall, temperatures below freezing, fair braking action and winds from 330 at 17 knots gusting 22.

The airplane came to a stop on the paved surface of the runway end safety area at 16:29L (00:28Z Nov 23rd).
No injuries and no damage occurred, a number of aircraft needed to go around.

The airplane needed to be pushed back onto the runway, then taxied to the apron on its own power.

Seattle's runway 34C is 2873 meters/9426 feet, runway 34R 3627 meters/11900 feet long.
