Hiya,
Can anyone provide spotting information regarding Charleston AFB. Will visit the place in a week or so but haven't found any info from where to read off the planes, if possible anyway.
MTIA,
Chris

Re: REQ: Charleston AFB
Long time ago since I've been there (1999), but as far as I remember there is a public road parallel to the runway, with many spotting-possibilities along the fence.
Back then I even managed to arrange a base-visit at the entrance-gate, but that might be more diffcult now (after 9/11).
Regards,
Gerard

Hi Chris,
Get to the flying club and ask to have a look around the hangers.
And photograph the Mig 15, if it's still there.
From the car park you can pole everything off, and because you ask permission at
the flyingclub, the police can't touch you !
Hope this is any wurthy info.
