Brüggen 18 April 1984

Post by Stefan »

Hi,

I am not sure why, but felt the urge to show a regular day at RAF Brüggen in 1984 (when I was still young).

XZ388/AH, Jaguar GR1 of 14sq, one of 4 squadrons based at the moment
Image

XS603, Andover 3 of 115 squadron, used for calibration.
Image

A11/3-XA, Jaguar A of EC3/3 at Nancy. One of 2 visiting this day.
Image

XX826/CA another local Jaguar GR1 of 20sq.
Image

Two visiting CM170s taking off, MT4 and MT33.

Stefan

Wow...EC 3 Jags, pictures of those are rare!! But you made an excellent choice to just pick a day at Bruggen. I think it is more interesting than all those old airshow pics!

Keep 'em coming!!

Random operational days, to me, have always been much more to the core of the hobby than airshows. Airshows are like fishing from a fish store where every fish is visible and lined up to the next one...absolutely no anticipation and thrill what the day will bring. So, keep them coming, these "A day at..."-topics!!

Regards and thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the feedback. I hope it inspires others to post such 'regular days' as well. Looking forward to that!

Stefan
