REQ: Lockheed SP-2H Neptune at HATO (MLD 203)

Hi,

I received via some channels information regarding the MLD Neptune 203, they have removed the tail section and moved it onto the base.

Does anybody have more info ? why just the tail (save the vario-cam for display examples ??)

Tail will be/is restored to act as a gate guard near the entrance of the base.

Thanks ! any reason why "just" the tail and not for example the nose/cockpit section ?
Also, anybody reading this, new pictures (once done of course) are VERY welcome
