By Rainer Uphoff

Aerolineas Argentinas domestic subsidiary Austral is preparing to accept delivery of its first Embraer E-190 in July.

The aircraft is currently at Embraer’s San Jose dos Campos facility, where the manufacturer is completing the E-Jet for delivery next month.

It is the first aircraft featuring the new livery of Aerolineas, which was unveiled earlier this month in Buenos Aires.

Austral has 20 E-Jets on order, and recently Aerolineas president Mariano Recalde explained once the first aircraft is delivered next month, the carrier will receive two aircraft per month until the order is completed.
