Re: Tours (LFOT) - 2010 MIL
noted on may 12th:
F-ZBEH/T20 S-2 Firecat
E7/705-TU Alpha Jet E
E51/705-AD Alpha Jet E
E67/314-TB Alpha Jet E spec c/s
E25/705-TJ Alpha Jet E
E83/314-TZ Alpha Jet E
E132/314-TZ Alpha Jet E
E146/314-RR Alpha Jet E
E45/314-TF Alpha Jet E
E75/705-AE Alpha Jet E
375/125-CL Mirage 2000N
356/125-BX Mirage 2000N
After arriving at 13:00 I checked out the civil terminal area first (spot1 scramble guide). Although this spot is quite close to the taxiway and you are able to park the car close to the fence I decided not to try my luck here since the fence and the long grass made photographing a challenge. Besides that I think you will attract a lot of negative attention with a long white lens and a stepladder since it's quite busy here, also with law officials.
Although there was a Northerly wind I decided to spend some hours at spot 2. This gave an overview onto the base and I was able to spot all traffic taking off. With some effort you can even read off the Alpha Jets when they return on the taxi track when they turn onto that from the runway. I spent two hours here and noted the above. Several Alpha Jets remained unread. The S-2 departed early afternoon, another I saw returning from the car on my way back. The Mirages crossed the field.
Does someone know the identity of the black mirage 3 dual? It was parked west of the taxi track near spot 2 towards the military part of the base. It had some red markings on the tail and it looked like the fire fighters were practising near it.

Re: Tours (LFOT) - 2010 MIL
According to EMOOS Mirage IIIB 219/DK should be present in "the south west corner". I visited the show at Tours a few years back and don't recall a black Mirage III (or any other colour....).

Re: Tours (LFOT) - 2010 MIL
At the 16th of june 3 Portugese Alpha Jets left at the moment we arrived. Two could be noted in demo colours 15206 and 15208. Also a normal camouflaged example was present but could not be read of in time. Anybody knows the ID of this aircraft?
Many thanks in advance,
Best regards,
Arjan
