United A319 makes save landing

Een vliegtuig van United Airlines met een defect landingsgestel heeft zondag op de internationale luchthaven van Newark bij New York een geslaagde noodlanding gemaakt.
De Airbus A319 uit Chicago maakte de landing met alleen het neuswiel en het linker landingsgestel uitgeklapt. Nadat het toestel tot stilstand was gekomen konden alle 53 inzittenden het veilig verlaten.
De oorzaak van het mankement wordt onderzocht.

The Airbus A319 from Chicago, the landing, with only the neuswiel and the left landing gear extended. After the aircraft came to a halt all 53 occupants were able to safely leave.

This clearly shows that the LG is stuck by the LG-door; so most likely the door had troubles opening and the LG lowered to fast)

Thumbs up for the crew who made a tricky landing end without incidents.

And then it is not possible to get it up again and try it again? Or did it get stuck at all?

Once the sequence is mixed up it's game-over; then the alternate gear down won't even help as it is stuck and other movements might result in break-down of various parts ...
