Re: NSK2009 "were spotters battle each other"
Hello Cristian,
A great overview of this day. Looking at the photos, I am really sure everybody enjoyed this NSK.
Congratulations to GEAS for winning this year's edition.

That lt.col. saying civil is stupid shot be courtmarshalled and then shot, of course.
Besideds that, looks like a fun event! Just out of curiosity, is there anywhere we could see some example questions? I wonder how difficult such an event is, but judgeing from the pics you even have to recognize aircraft parts? Wow, impressive!
P.S. CIVIL rules!

Concerning the Panoravia delegation: I haven't seen these guys for quite some time but I'm quite sure that's not Fred Jansen on the right. That's Dennis Jansen.

Well done Crizz, nice report!

You could refer to this topic (the build up of last year's event); http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=44285" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; it gives a clue. There used to be a sample edition on this website, but as far as I can see now, it is not there anymore.phkza wrote:Besideds that, looks like a fun event! Hi Crizz & the rest of the AGL-team,
Great report of this nice event! You all did a great job again this year adding some new creative questions to the lot...well done! Also nice to meet all the familiar faces again and too have the chance for some chit-chat in between.
About the remark of Jeroen, that is correct. The man on the right is Dennis Jansen (although having the badge of Fred Jansen). We had made a last minute change in our crew, hence the mix-up!
Cheers,

Re: NSK2009 "were spotters battle each other"
Nice report, very nice event. It felt good to be back on the team and it felt even better to end third! One thing that struck me (and is obvious from the report as well): 19 years ago when the NSK started there were a lot of "young" spotters and a few "older" ones; this year it was the other way round: the young ones from 1990 got older and turned out in considerable number, whereas only a few "Young Ones" attended... a sign of the times ?

Well done Cris, a nice report! Many thanks to AGL for organizing all this and congrats to GEAS!
I was a great experience to attend this meeting and to be team-member of EWAS.

Re: NSK2009 "were spotters battle each other"
I would not go quite as far as that, but the result of this attitude is F-16 jockeys intercepting an Airbus (or ANY airliner, for that matter) and "identifying" it as a "Boeing type"phkza wrote:That lt.col. saying civil is stupid shot be courtmarshalled and then shot, of course.

Nice report !! This was I think the first time in the long history of the NSK, I was not there to watch or participate.

Hans,
You're obviously excused because of the distance... but what about the other SSB-regulars? Did the group meet the same fate as the base?

Thanks for this nice photo report.... fun to see, and nice to get a taste of the admosphere overthere.
I was unable to make it to Leeuwarden for this years NSK, but some how I now was able too get a impression of this cool event. Thanks.
Hope to be there again next year.

Re: NSK2009 "were spotters battle each other"
Correct, that was the easiest part and only meant as an example for the group. The interior parts of aircraft was a completely different challenge!jah wise wrote:Speedbrake F-104G ?????Crizz wrote: Klaas showing part of an aircraft to the participants.
